Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School Terms and Conditions
At Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School we understand that we are working with students of every level of driving from New Learners through to students who are ready to sit their practical test, Interstate and International Licence Holders, those who may have some Anxiety etc.
We cater each lesson to each student’s individual needs, abilities and confidence. We keep the learning environment calm and friendly.
Our end goal is helping each student to gain the knowledge, skills and Safe driving habits while building confidence and visual skills to be an aware and defensive driver NOT just to pass your driving test.

Our instructors:
• Hold valid accreditations and can produce them on request.
• Hold valid Blue Cards and can produce them on request.
• All our driver trainers adhere to the code of conduct.

Our Vehicles are:

• Fitted with dual control pedals.
• Road worthy and serviced regularly.
• Fully insured.
• Registered for driver training purposes.

Acceptance of terms and conditions
By booking driving lessons with Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School either
• Online,
• Over the phone call,
• Via text message,
• Via online social media platforms or
• In person

And

By purchasing, redeeming, or attempting to redeem Pre-Paid Lessons and Gift Certificates, YOU AGREE, ACCEPT and become BOUND by the terms and conditions as laid out below.

All Students Must Provide a valid QLD learner licence or valid Interstate or International licence before beginning your lesson. Failure to do so will be considered a cancelled lesson and full fee will be charged.

Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School does not accept any responsibility for the outcome of any driving test and any traffic infringements or speeding fines occurred during lessons and the Practical driving test. The student or their legal guardian shall be liable to pay for those.

Please understand our instructors are Supervising Learner Drivers and our full attention MUST be with them, this means unfortunately we can NOT be answering calls and messages. Calls and msg will try to be returned when we can. We are usually on the road from 7am-6pm if you wish to book lessons the easiest and fastest way is to book online using our booking system, we have an automated text msg the gets sent when calls can NOT be answered with the link to book online.

Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School will not be held accountable for any personal belongings left in any of our cars. We will try to return any items left behind but cannot guarantee this as the cars are used by multiple students per day.
The driver trainer has the right to terminate a driving lesson in reasonable circumstances.

Reasons may include:
• Being Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol. Students must be sober and NOT under the influence of any Alcohol or Drugs, having a blood alcohol level of 0.0, not under the influence any illegal substance nor any prescription or non-prescription medicine that may cause drowsiness or any other impairment on the ability to drive If the instructor suspects that you may be under the influence, the lesson will be cancelled, and full fee will be charged.

• Conduct and Behaviour:

The student agrees to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner following the instructions and guidance provided by the driving instructor at all times. The student agrees to be prepared for each driving lesson, including being well-rested,
The student agrees to arrive promptly for scheduled driving lessons. In the event of tardiness, the driving instructor reserves the right to reduce the duration of the lesson, reschedule or cancel the lesson at their discretion and full fee will be charged.

• Dangerous Driving:

The allocated driving instructor reserves the right to end an active lesson if the student is driving in a dangerous manner, this includes but is not limited to, speeding and aggressive driving. No refund will be given for the lesson. If a student has prepaid for a package of lessons and the instructor feels at significant risk in the vehicle with the student, the whole package value may be forfeited. This, however, is at the discretion of the driving instructor. The student agrees to treat the instructor’s vehicle with care and respect, avoiding any deliberate or negligent actions that may cause damage to the vehicle. The student agrees to always prioritise safety during driving lessons, abide by applicable traffic laws and regulations, and practicing defensive driving techniques as advised by the driving instructor.

The student agrees to pay for the excess on Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving Schools’ insurance if they are at fault in causing an accident. (Generally, where the learner has followed all instructions of the driving instructor there will be no liability. Where the learner has ignored instructions and in so doing has caused an accident to occur, the learner driver will be liable for any insurance excess payable. Insurance excess for learner drivers is currently $1,400 per accident but may vary between vehicles. If the accident is caused by another driver, then there is no liability for the learner driver.) NB: Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving Schools’ vehicles are covered under full comprehensive vehicle insurance.

• Traffic Infringements and Liability:
Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School will NOT be held accountable for any traffic
infringements incurred by a client whilst engaged in a driving lesson. If this were to occur the client is solely liable to make any required payments due as a result of the infringement.
The student acknowledges that they are responsible for any fines, damages or injuries caused by their actions or negligence during driving lessons, and they agree to hold the driving instructor harmless from any resulting liabilities.
Driving lessons can be done in your own vehicle at the discretion of the instructor. If an instructor is using a client’s vehicle it is expected have current Registration and the car is covered by proper comprehensive insurance and compulsory third party. We do not accept responsibility whatsoever for traffic infringements or accidents whilst with the learner driver.

Cancellation Policy:
A cancellation does not automatically refund payment of products or services.

Any amount not subject to the cancellation fee ($30) is credited towards your account balance at Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School.

• The instructor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any lesson at any given time, if a lesson must be cancelled by driving school for any reason, including illness of the instructor, Car maintenance, Major Traffic delays or Congestion the student will be offered alternative dates.
• Sometimes we may get held up with traffic delays, roadworks etc to lessons which is out of our control, this may make instructors run few minutes late to lessons, call/text will be sent if able. All lessons will still get full 1hr time from start to finish. We thank you for your understanding.
• We MUST Prioritise ALL Practical Driving Test Appointments, sometime these can be last minute bookings, unfortunately this may mean we may have to reschedule lessons that may have been booked. We will Endeavor to reschedule to a time ASAP.
• The student agrees to provide at least 24 hours advance notice of any cancellations or rescheduling of driving lessons as per the cancellation policy specified by Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in forfeiture of the lesson or additional fees.
• Less than 24 hours’ notice before the booking will forfeit the full booking fee.
• If you are late, and have let us know, the instructor is only able to provide you with the remaining time left on that lesson and full fee will be charged.
• If you are more than 15 minutes late for a lesson without notice, the instructor can cancel your lesson, and full fee will be charged.
• Late cancellations and No Shows will require future lessons to be PAID IN FULL prior to new booking. Payment must be made and cleared or transaction receipt provided by close of trading the day prior to the commencement of your lesson, Failure to do so will result in your booking being cancelled.
• Lesson fees paid will not be refunded for same day cancellation or no show.
• NO cancellations to Lesson & Test we have booked on your behalf. Booking fee to be paid prior and NO refund given on booking fee for last minute Cancellation.
• A cancellation does NOT automatically refund payment of products or services. Any amount not subject to the $30 cancellation fee, is credited towards your account balance at Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School.
• Packaged services are based on a defined group of discounted Services and that a
 partial refund of a packaged service will be based on the adjusted service cost which is equivalent to the maximum retail price for the equivalent single Service for each completed services, less the administration fee.
• Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School reserves the right at any time to change or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
• Prices of all Services are subject to change with or without notice.
• Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
• A 20% administration fee is applied to admin services such as Practical Test Bookings, Rescheduling or swapping Test bookings.

Refunds are given at owner’s discretion. Any requests MUST be submitted via email to bec@uppercoomeradrivingschool.online to be considered. If a refund is agreed upon with management, we reserve the right to recalculate any packages removing discounts and recalculating at the normal rate to formulate a retune amount. All refunds will be subject to a $30.00 administration fee without fail or question.

Bookings are subject to availability. At times we can be booked out 1-3 weeks in advance especially during peak times like School Holidays. W advise to book online and book lessons in advance.

PAYMENTS
Single, Bulk and Pre-paid Packages Terms and Conditions:
• All lessons are to be paid before starting the lesson.
• All packages are to be paid in full before starting the first lesson.
• Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer or PayID.
• Purchase of Gift Certificates and Pre-Paid and Bulk Packages are valid for 12 Months from the date of purchase and are Non-Refundable and Not Redeemable for Cash.
• Purchases of Gift Vouchers or Packages can be used by a single person or be spilt with Siblings only.
• There are NO refunds available on any Gift Certificates/Pre-Paid/Bulk packages purchased.
• Pre-Paid Lesson and Bulk packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
• Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice.
• Prices of all Services are subject to change with or without notice.
• Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
• New Student Special offer is limited to once per student, any lessons after this are at the Full rate for Single hour lesson.
• Our packaged services provide a set of lessons at a discounted rate, tailored to offer comprehensive learning experiences over multiple sessions. These packages ARE BOUND by the same cancellation and scheduling policies as individual lessons.
• Packaged Service prices are based on a discount being applied from the Maximum Retail Sales Price for the service. The individual Service price may be varied within the package by the Company at any time. All packaged Services have an expiry period of 12 months from date of purchase due to pricing conditions that exist at the time of sale (For example, fuel and operating costs). Discounted packages provide a discount to the purchaser when the specified number and / or type of services are bundled together at the time of purchase.

Cancellation Rates, Refund Policy, Administration fees
Cancellation Policy:

The student agrees to provide at least 24 hours advance notice of any cancellations or rescheduling of driving lessons as per the cancellation policy specified by Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in forfeiture of the lesson or additional fees.
Pre-Paid Lessons can be redeemed by booking a lesson online or by phone and is redeemable for a period of twelve (12) months from the purchase date and are Non-Refundable and Not Redeemable for Cash.
You can reschedule cancelled services as often as required, provided the 24-hour notice period is satisfied for each change.
We understand that sometimes last-minute work shift/commitments may arise, we are more than happy to work with and around students’ needs where possible.

• When am I not eligible to receive a refund?
  Examples of when you will not be eligible to receive a refund include, but are not limited to:
  • A change of mind, including:
  • Found the service cheaper.
  • Have completed your logbook hours and no longer need the service.
  • No longer wish to use the service.
  • No ASAP Availability
  • NO booking available for current week at times we can be booked out 1-3 weeks in advance.
  • You cannot reach us by phone or text to book a lesson. We have an online booking system to Book, Cancel and Reschedule lessons online anytime 24/7,  Even if your Initial lesson/s were booked via phone or text, you CAN still book lessons online.
• • You have relocated since your original purchase.
• • Your preferred instructor is not available.
  • An issue with the driving instructor not meeting your quality expectations.
  • A booking issue that was caused by user error including:
  • Not holding the correct licence.                                                                                     
• Technical issues/Glitches out of our control.
  • Booking the wrong service.
  • Providing an incorrect pick-up address.
  • Providing incorrect contact details.
  • Not meeting the licencing requirements to sit your driving test.
  • Failing to book your driving test directly with the test centre.
  • A booking issue caused by an external source including:
  • Local licensing authority.
  • You have requested a late cancellation and have been charged by your instructor.
  • You have an active payment dispute.

We advised that a certain time we can be booked out a 1 -3 weeks in advance, so we HIGHLY recommend booking in advance especially around school holiday time.

Bec’s Upper Coomera Driving School respects the privacy of our students. We do not share any of your information with any third parties.
All information provided to us will remain confidential.
From time to time, you may be asked if we can take and use a photograph on our website for promotional use. You are not under any obligations to agree to this.
